Blue noise presets on this page
Each chip in the player sets Tone and EQ. Volume and the timer stay yours. Tap a card, then use it in the player above.
Calm Mind
Airy blue with a little 250 Hz and 500 Hz so it is not only hiss. A desk bed when Airy Hiss feels too thin.
Use in playerAiry Hiss
Rising treble with a 4 kHz and 8 kHz lift. Use this to cover high room noise without going full Treble Cover.
Use in playerTreble Cover
Bright blue aimed at fans, brakes, and high HVAC. 8 kHz and 16 kHz up. Start quieter than you would on brown.
Use in playerSoft Blue
Blue with the 16 kHz shelf pulled down. The overnight chip on this page. Sleep copy below if you want a timer.

What blue noise is
Blue noise (sometimes azure) rises with frequency: power increases about 3 dB per octave, the opposite tilt of pink. Wikipedia lists it under colors of noise. RelaxEnd builds it as a first difference of white noise, so the bass is thin on purpose and the hiss sits up top. White noise is flat per hertz. Pink noise falls about 3 dB per octave. Brown falls about 6 dB per octave and rumbles. This page synthesizes blue in the tab with a worklet. There is no looped file and no upload. Soft Blue pulls the 16 kHz shelf down if the air is too much. Tone is still a low-pass after the blue filter, so it darkens the hiss; it will not add brown rumble. A sleep timer can run from 15 minutes to 24 hours. This is audio, not a band, and not the Poisson-disk sampling used in computer graphics.
Blue noise for sleep
People use blue noise at night because the hiss can cover high ticks (a fridge, a fan, a brake squeal) that brown rumble misses. It is also brighter than most overnight beds, so some listeners wake from it. There is no blue-noise sleep trial. A 2022 review of sound as a sleep aid found mixed results for noise in general. This page is not a black-screen YouTube video. Use Black screen in the nav for a true-black overlay while the generator keeps playing.
- Soft Blue, then 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 hours on the timer, or Off for all night. 30 minutes and 1 hour are on the timer if you only want a short bed
- Start quieter than you would for brown or pink. Fade out in Customize if you want the last minute to ease down
- Headphones work. Stop if your ears feel tired or the hiss keeps you up. Brown is the usual overnight pick if this one is too bright
- This is live synthesis, not a 10 hour YouTube track or an app with ads
Blue noise for studying
A rising hiss can sit under reading when the room problem is high (HVAC, traffic brakes, insect-like buzz) rather than speech. Evidence for noise and ADHD is mostly white and pink, not blue. Use what lets you stay with the page. RelaxEnd does not diagnose ADHD.
- Airy Hiss or Calm Mind for studying and long concentration blocks. Treble Cover if the room itself is hissy
- Headphones in a noisy room. Meditation bell in Customize if you want a gentle interval
- It also works as background audio. It does not soundproof a room
Blue noise frequency
Blue noise is not one pitch. On this page the source is a first difference of white, so energy rises about 3 dB per octave toward the treble. There is no best healing frequency, and 432 Hz is a sine wave, not blue noise. Shape the hiss with Tone and the 10-band EQ. Related chips below open sibling colors and the full lab.
How to play blue noise here
- Press Play. Audio starts in this tab. Nothing is streamed from a file.
- Pick a preset. Choose Soft Blue, Airy Hiss, Treble Cover, or Calm Mind. Each one sets Tone and EQ for this color only.
- Set volume. Move volume to a level you could talk over. Blue sits in the highs, so the same slider number can feel louder than brown.
- Shape Tone and EQ. Optional. Drag Tone down if the hiss stings, or open Equalizer and cut 8 kHz and 16 kHz. Tone will not add bass rumble.
- Set a sleep timer. Optional. Open Customize for chips from 15 minutes to 24 hours (including 30 min, 1 h, 8 h, 10 h, and 12 h), fade in or out, or a meditation bell.

FAQ
- What is blue noise?
- Blue noise is a rising spectrum: about 3 dB more power per octave as frequency goes up. Some notes call the same slope azure. RelaxEnd takes a first difference of white noise, so you hear a bright hiss and almost no bass. It is not blue light, not a band, and not a graphics sampling pattern.
- What does blue noise sound like?
- A bright, airy hiss, thinner than white and much thinner than brown. Airy Hiss is the default-bright bed. Treble Cover is sharper. Soft Blue pulls the top shelf down. Calm Mind puts a little mid body under the air.
- What is blue noise good for? What does it do?
- The rising hiss can cover high fans, brakes, and insect-like buzz that rumble misses. People also use it to sleep or study. It does not soundproof a room and it does not treat medical conditions. Try Soft Blue at night, Airy Hiss at a desk. There is no special healing frequency in this color.
- What frequency is blue noise?
- It is not one tone. Energy rises toward the treble, about 3 dB per octave. Soft Blue is the darkest overnight chip on this page. Cut 8 kHz and 16 kHz if the top is too bright. 432 Hz is a sine, not blue noise.
- Is blue noise good for sleep?
- Some people sleep with it because it covers high ticks. Others find it too bright. There is no dedicated blue-noise trial. A 2022 sleep-aid review found mixed results for sound in general. Soft Blue, then 8 h, 10 h, or 12 h, or leave the timer Off. Use Black screen in the nav if you want the display true black. This is not medical advice.
- Does blue noise help you focus or study?
- Some people concentrate better when high hiss in the room is covered. Published ADHD noise work is mostly white and pink, not blue. Results vary. Use Airy Hiss or Calm Mind and headphones in a noisy room. This site does not diagnose or treat ADHD.
- Does blue noise help tinnitus?
- Some people use a high hiss as a mask when ringing sits up top. Bright hiss can also irritate those ears. This is not treatment, and loud noise can make ringing worse. Keep volume moderate and stop if it hurts. Talk to a clinician. Violet on this site is even thinner.
- What is the difference between blue noise and white noise?
- White noise is flat per hertz, so it hisses across the band and covers speech well. Blue rises about 3 dB per octave, so the bass is thin and the air is louder. Blue white noise searches usually mean this comparison. Neither is healthier. If white is too even and you only need to cover highs, stay on this page.
- What is the difference between blue noise and brown noise?
- Brown noise falls about 6 dB per octave and rumbles in the bass. Blue does the opposite tilt and sits in the treble. If blue keeps you awake, try brown. If brown misses a high fan, stay on blue and use Treble Cover.
- What is the difference between blue noise and pink noise?
- Pink noise falls about 3 dB per octave (1/f) and often sounds like rain. Blue rises about 3 dB per octave. They are mirror slopes. Open pink if you want the rain-like bed. Stay here if you want the airy hiss.
- Is this a blue noise algorithm or a sampling distribution?
- No. In computer graphics, blue noise often means a spatial point set (Poisson-disk, a blue-noise mask) whose spectrum lacks low-frequency clumps. This page is audio: a first-difference hiss you can play. It does not export a dither mask or generate sample positions.
- How do I play blue noise here? Is there a free app or download?
- Press Play on this page. That is the generator, player, and app. There is no VST, no MP3 download, and no account. After the page loads, synthesis runs in the tab. Add it to your Home Screen if you want an icon. Native Android and iOS apps are coming later.
- Is this a YouTube loop or an app with ads?
- Live synthesis, not a YouTube upload, a 10 hour track, or a paywalled app. There are no ads in the audio. Play as long as the tab stays open, or set 8, 10, 12, or 24 hours on the timer. Black screen in the nav blacks the display while audio continues.
