Pink noise generator
Play pink noise in this tab, free, with no ads and no YouTube loop. Power falls about 3 dB per octave (1/f), so it sounds like steady rain rather than hiss or rumble. This page stays on pink: Deep Focus, Rain Bed, Sleep, Nursery, a 10-band EQ, and a timer through 8, 10, or 24 hours. Nothing is uploaded.

Pink noise presets on this page
Each chip in the player sets Tone and EQ. Volume and the timer stay yours. Tap a card, then use it in the player above.
Deep Focus
Even 1/f for long coding or study blocks. People also try this for focus. This site does not diagnose ADHD.
Use in playerStudy Flow
Warmer pink with 2 kHz pulled back so reading is less hissy than Deep Focus.
Use in playerRain Bed
A little more 125 Hz and a little less 8 kHz. Still synthesized pink, not a rain recording.
Use in playerReading
Quiet pink that stays out of the way of inner voice. Soft is the next quieter chip.
Use in playerSleep
Treble rolled off for overnight play and deep sleep. Pair with 8 hour, 10 hour, or 12 hour, or leave the timer Off.
Use in playerWarm
Warm pink: highs cut, mids left in. Use this when Sleep is too dark and Rain Bed is too present.
Use in playerSoft
Gentler 8 kHz and 16 kHz for winding down. Same color, less sting at the top.
Use in playerSoothing
Quieter highs for sitting still or anxious nights. Not a treatment.
Use in playerOffice
1 kHz and 2 kHz lifted so chatter sits under the bed. Deep Focus if you want less speech-band energy.
Use in playerSoft Ring
A slight 1 kHz lift for people who mask mid ringing. Not medical care. Stop if ringing gets worse.
Use in playerNursery
Treble cut for naps. Watch the child and keep the speaker quiet and across the room.
Use in playerPets
Highs cut harder for dogs and cats. Keep volume low and stop if they look stressed.

What pink noise is
Pink noise has about the same power in each octave, the 1/f spectrum described as pink noise. Each higher octave is about 3 dB quieter. You hear a mid-heavy bed, closer to rain or rustling leaves than to radio static. White noise is flat per hertz, so it hisses more. Brown noise falls about 6 dB per octave and sits in the bass. RelaxEnd synthesizes the signal in this tab with a worklet. There is no looped file and no upload. Darken it with Tone (Warm, Soft) or the 10-band EQ from 31 Hz to 16 kHz. A sleep timer can run from 15 minutes to 24 hours. This is not the rock band Pink Noise.
Pink noise for sleep
People use pink noise as a sleep bed because the hiss is milder than white. A 2022 review of sound as a sleep aid found mixed results. Some lab work played brief pink pulses timed to slow waves, not a 10 hour stream. This page is not a black-screen YouTube video. Use Black screen in the nav for a true-black overlay while the generator keeps playing. There is no separate alarm clock.
- Sleep or Soft, then 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 hours on the timer, or Off for all night. 30 minutes is on the timer if you only want a short bed
- Fade out in Customize if you want the last minute to ease down
- Headphones work. Start quieter than speakers. Stop if your ears feel tired
- This is live synthesis, not a 10 hour YouTube track or an app with ads
Pink noise for focus
The mid-heavy slope can sit under reading without the bright hiss of white. A 2024 ADHD noise meta-analysis found a small task benefit for white and pink noise in ADHD groups. Evidence is mixed. Use what lets you stay with the page.
- Deep Focus or Study Flow for coding, studying, and long concentration blocks. Reading if those feel too present
- Office if the room is talky
- Headphones in a noisy room. Meditation bell in Customize if you want a gentle interval
- People also search this for memory and ADHD. RelaxEnd does not treat those
Pink noise for babies
Some caregivers pick pink at nap time because it has less hiss than white and more mid energy than brown. Infants hear more high-frequency energy than adults, so volume matters more than the preset name. This is not pediatric advice.
- Start with Nursery. Soft is the next quieter chip if Nursery still feels present
- Keep the speaker across the room, well below talking level. Do not put a phone in the crib
- Set a timer (1 hour, 8 hours) so it does not run past the nap unless you mean it to
- Watch the child. Stop if they startle, seem unsettled, or you are unsure
Pink noise frequencies
Pink noise is a slope, not one pitch. Power drops about 3 dB per octave, so each octave band carries similar energy. See colors of noise for how the family is named. There is no single healing frequency and 432 Hz is a sine wave, not pink noise. Shape the spectrum with Tone and the 10-band EQ, or open the noise generator to compare colors in one lab.
How to play pink noise here
- Press Play. Audio starts in this tab. Nothing is streamed from a file.
- Pick a preset. Choose Deep Focus, Rain Bed, Sleep, Nursery, or another pink chip. Each one sets Tone and EQ for this color only.
- Set volume. Move volume to a level you could talk over. Loud pink noise can fatigue hearing the same as any other sound.
- Shape Tone and EQ. Optional. Drag Tone toward Warm or Soft if the rain bed is too bright, or open Equalizer and cut 8 kHz and 16 kHz.
- Set a sleep timer. Optional. Open Customize for chips from 15 minutes to 24 hours (including 30 min, 8 h, 10 h, and 12 h), fade in or out, or a meditation bell.

FAQ
- What is pink noise?
- Pink noise is a random signal with roughly equal power per octave, often called 1/f noise. The name comes from light spectra, not a pink-colored sound, and it is not the band Pink Noise. You hear a steady rain-like bed. RelaxEnd generates that signal in this tab. It is not a recording of rain.
- What does pink noise sound like?
- Steady rain, rustling leaves, or a distant waterfall with less hiss than white noise and less rumble than brown. Rain Bed leans toward rain. Warm and Soft pull the sting out of the top. Sleep is the darkest overnight chip on this page.
- What does pink noise do? What is it good for?
- A constant mid-heavy band can make sudden sounds harder to notice, so people use it to sleep, study, sit with a baby, or cover room noise. It does not soundproof a space. Try Sleep at night, Deep Focus at a desk, Nursery at nap time. RelaxEnd does not treat medical conditions. There is no special healing frequency in this color.
- What frequency is pink noise?
- It is not one pitch. Power is spread so each octave is similar. On this EQ that is 31 Hz through 16 kHz, tilted down about 3 dB per octave. 432 Hz is a sine tone, not pink noise. Cut 8 kHz and 16 kHz if the top is too bright.
- How long should I listen to pink noise?
- There is no required dose. For sleep, pick 8 h, 10 h, or 12 h, or leave the timer Off. 30 minutes is on the timer if you only want a short bed. For study, run it while the tab is open. Stop if your ears feel tired.
- Does pink noise help you sleep?
- Many people sleep with it because the hiss is milder than white. A 2022 sleep-aid review found mixed results. A 2017 slow-wave study used brief pink pulses in older adults, not a 10 hour loop. Sleep or Soft, then 8 h, 10 h, or 12 h, or leave the timer Off. Use Black screen in the nav if you want the display true black. This is not medical advice.
- How does pink noise affect the brain? Does it improve memory?
- A steady band can make spikes (a door, a shout) less of a jolt, which is why some people stay asleep or stay on a page. One 2017 study in older adults paired pink pulses with slow waves and reported a memory benefit in that setup. That is not the same as streaming this player all night. This page is a generator, not a clinical study.
- Is pink noise bad for you? Can it be harmful?
- Pink noise is sound. High volume can fatigue hearing, same as any other audio. Keep it at a level you could talk over, including on headphones, and stop if it bothers you. Leave the timer Off for all-night play, or pick a chip so playback stops. This page is not medical advice.
- Does pink noise help you study or focus?
- Some people concentrate better when chatter is covered and the top end is quieter than white. A 2024 ADHD noise meta-analysis found a small task benefit for white and pink noise in ADHD groups. Results vary. Use Deep Focus, Study Flow, or Office and headphones in a noisy room. This site does not diagnose or treat ADHD.
- What is the difference between pink noise and white noise?
- Pink falls about 3 dB per octave, so mids stay in the mix and many people hear rain. White noise keeps the highs, so it hisses more and covers speech better. Neither is healthier. If white is too bright for sleep or study, stay on this page.
- What is the difference between pink noise and brown noise? Is pink better?
- Brown noise (Brownian, sometimes red) falls about 6 dB per octave and rumbles. Pink still has audible mids. Neither is better for everyone. If pink feels too hissy at night, try brown. If brown feels too dark for study, stay on pink. White, pink, and brown in one sentence: white hisses, pink rains, brown rumbles.
- Is pink noise good for babies?
- Some caregivers use a low pink bed at nap time because it has less hiss than white. Infants hear more high-frequency energy than adults. Keep the speaker across the room, well below talking, never in the crib. Nursery cuts the top. Use a timer so it does not run past the nap unless you mean it to. Stop if the child startles or you are unsure. This is not pediatric advice.
- Is pink noise good for tinnitus? Can it make ringing worse?
- Some people use a steady band as a mask. Soft Ring lifts 1 kHz a little. High ringing often sits closer to blue or violet. This is not treatment, and loud noise can make ringing worse. Keep volume moderate and stop if it hurts. There is no tinnitus file to download. Talk to a clinician.
- Do dogs or cats like pink noise?
- Some pets settle when household spikes are covered. Others find the bed annoying. Pets cuts the highs. Keep volume low, watch for stress (pacing, hiding, pinned ears), and do not use it in place of veterinary care.
- Is a fan pink noise?
- A box fan is closer to white: broadband hiss plus motor rumble. Pink has less top-octave energy, more like rain than a vent. Fan Hiss lives on the white page. Airplane cabin sound is usually darker; brown's Airplane chip is the closer cabin drone.
- How do I play or make pink noise here?
- Press Play on this page. That is the generator, player, and app. There is no VST, no MP3 download, and no account. After the page loads, synthesis runs in the tab. Mix engineers sometimes play pink to EQ a room; this lab is for listening, not measurement. Headphones work, including noise-cancelling ones; this page is not an ANC product.
- Can Alexa, Google Home, or Hatch play pink noise?
- Those devices have their own skills or hardware sounds. This lab runs in a browser tab, not as an Alexa skill, a Google Home action, or a Hatch machine. For all-night play here, leave the timer Off on a phone or laptop that stays awake. Add the page to your Home Screen if you want an icon.
- Is this a YouTube loop, a 10-hour track, or an app with ads?
- Live synthesis, not a YouTube upload, a 24 hour video, or a paywalled app. There are no ads in the audio. Play as long as the tab stays open, or set 8, 10, 12, or 24 hours on the timer. Black screen in the nav blacks the display while audio continues. Dark screen searches land there too.
